Producer: Marcelo Pereira Lima Verde

Kaizen, derived from Japanese, signifies "continuous improvement," emphasizing the perpetual quest for betterment in personal, familial, social, and professional aspects. Marcelo Lima Verde, originally from Patos de Minas, forged a career as an electrical engineer at ITA, spanning São Paulo and Uberlândia with his wife, psychiatrist Sueli de Castro Bernardes. Adhering to the Kaizen concept, they renamed Fazenda Colônia Agrícola, inherited from Marcelo's parents, to Fazenda Kaizen.

In 2012, they initiated irrigated replanting of the dry coffee crops initially sown by Marcelo’s paternal grandfather in the 70s, a pioneer in coffee culture in the Alto Paranaíba region. Focused on producing specialty coffees, Fazenda Kaizen integrates conscious and technically well-directed management, incorporating best practices to achieve environmental and economic sustainability while fostering respect for its team of employees and the local community.
